Kaizen Chaos

Mmmm….I love the fall. The smell of the leaves, cool but not too crisp weather, pulling out sweaters and boots, and sleeping in a little later because it’s too dark and cold in the morning! Mr. Wonderful got up before me and was in full production mode (what he commonly refers to as “being somebody.”) When I finally got out of bed (not TOO late, around 8:30ish) I think he had already showered, done some dishes & some laundry and later he got to work on some yard work that we have been putting off.

I convinced him to take a break from chores and go shopping with me in the afternoon, which believe it or not is not really one of my favorite things to do. I needed a new suit for my upcoming interview(s) and luckily, I found a few new additions for my fall wardrobe so I was pretty happy about that. Mr. W wasn’t really in the mood to shop but he was nice enough to let me drag him to a few stores. One of which included Target, where he bought some totes to help in another mission we’ve been avoiding - - organizing our “stuff” and cleaning out the big garage. Grrr.

Actually, it wasn’t so bad once we got started. We have this deal where we give ourselves about an hour to do whatever dreaded task and then we go onto something fun, like watch a movie or play with the dogs, etc. Sometimes if we’re really in the groove we’ll work far past our hour deadline. Not tonight though. An hour working in the garage and I had had enough for the day. But it’s a good start.

Nothing overly exciting about today but it was relatively productive and I like that.
