Kaizen Chaos

I am officially 60% done with my week long MBA class I am taking in Iowa City. It’s a class on Conflict Management and I am enjoying it thus far despite the many role playing activities we’ve been doing.  Today was pretty good; I did much better than I expected.

I was seriously dreading playing the role of mediator for two classmates, whom I’d not met before, because you never know if they’re going to give you a hard time, whether instructed to or just for the fun of it. Luckily I had two partners who were pretty decent as far as that goes - no unnecessary BS. I realize the more difficult position we are in now, the better we’re supposed to be able to handle the random conflicts we find ourselves in, but still, that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

I’ve been fortunate in being able to car pool with friends so the drive/ride has been nice. We’re waiting to see how the weather might affect us tomorrow. (I’m ready for winter to be over!) I’m a little worn out from the long days though, even if I get home just an hour later than I normally would on a regular day.
