Today I am meeting with my makeup lady to go over the plan for wedding day makeup. Thus, I have not a drop of makeup on my face and I’m wearing a plain white shirt (as not to reflect color when I put makeup on later) with my damp hair pulled back in a clip. As I’m sitting in the living room Mr. Wonderful walks up and says “You look pretty.”
A little stunned, I look up and reply with “What?”
He says again, “You look pretty.”
A little puzzled because I feel rather bland at the moment, I narrow my skeptical eyes and say, “Why do you say that?” (As if he’s the type to be sarcastic about something like that and poke fun at my no-makeup-wearing self.)
Mr. W. says “Because you are” with sincerity.
Instincts encouraged me to retort, “Are you nuts? I don’t have any makeup on, my hair isn’t done, blah, blah, blah, etc.” But I didn’t.
Instead, I bit my tongue and simply said “Thank you” as I, once again, realized how lucky I am to have him, how very much I love him, and how excited I am to marry him.

Well, our deadline has officially passed to use our travel vouchers for the Florida trip we postponed in December. L I’m not very happy about losing out on all the money we spent on those unused tickets. I thought we were getting such a great deal that I booked them almost a year in advance. Lesson learned.
Maybe next time we’ll use TravelHERO.com. It’s an easy way to search for flights, hotels, and rental cars online. Or, if you prefer you can use their 800 number. So next time we think we might be headed to Florida we can use the site in a decent timeframe before the trip to get good prices. Whether we want a direct flight, or to find hotels near Disney World I bet we’d find it.
Something to consider…next time.

Do dogs enjoy music? Can they benefit from listening to the radio? Because that is the latest addition to the Puppy Palace. I kid you not. And here’s the best part…it wasn’t MY idea!!
While cleaning out the house Mr. Wonderful decided a good place for our old CD Player/Boom-box was in the dogs’ house…so they didn’t feel so lonely and had something to listen to while they’re out there! Seriously! I couldn’t make this stuff up! Not that I mind. I love that he loves my dogs, despite his occasional negative comments about them.
We’ve got a big TV that we’re not using right now. Will that be the next thing to be installed?!

Yep. It’s that time again. What would you like for Valentine’s Day? What are you getting your sweetie? I cannot think of anything I want or need right now, but Mr. Wonderful so graciously offered to buy me a Nintendo Wii. J I told him thanks but no thanks, and nice try.

One of my new favorite cookie recipes - Yum!
“Monster Cookies”
INGREDIENTS:
3 eggs
1 stick of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 1/3 cup peanut butter
2 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 cup oats
1/2 - 1 bag milk chocolate chips, mini M&Ms, or candy of your choice
Mix ingredients; Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
